Why The Rainy City

I started about fifteen years ago, on a cheap middle-of-the-road digital camera. There have been plenty of bodies and lens combinations since. The early frames came off equipment nobody would recommend, and a few of them are still the ones I like best, which tells you most of what you need to know about gear.

The first two years I was here I shot thousands of frames. Something happened, and most of them are out of my reach now. The few originals I have recovered since, turned up one at a time in the cloud storage services I used back then, are what went up here first. That is why the archive opens in 2010 and stays there a while.

Seattle is the city I was born in, and the one I moved back to.

I restarted my life here.
